First report from across the tiny pond:
There is a spot of rain coming through and temperatures are in the middle 60's, so a jacket was a great decision.

Too bad, I have no idea first-hand how that weather is playing out because we missed our flight from Birmingham this afternoon. Looks like another evening in the city ham before embarking on great adventures abroad!

When the flight leaves before the scheduled time, it often becomes difficult for passengers to board in time for takeoff. All is well though because we have a new adventure facing us when we arrive in Rome a day late. We will be taking a series of trains to get to Casa Cares which will take us to several cities that we had not previously planned to visit and I am absolutely thrilled about that!! Just more sites to see and beauty to take in. Also, how can you not be excited about a train that goes by the name "The Bullet"?

The comic relief through all of this was watching one of my travel companions stomach the news after taking a heavy dose of Dramamine in anticipation for the flight. I can only equate her actions and demeanor to those of a dental patient after heavy sedation. Something similar to this: click here

I think there were definitely more laughs today than anything else, so that makes the setback all the more tolerable. In the meantime, here's to catching up on some of my recorded shows and enjoying my bed for one more evening.

Next time I write I will (hopefully) be across the pond in Italia! Second time is a charm, right? It is now.
